Good Way Farm
Good Way Farm is a hand scale, no cost
seed and produce distribution project founded in 2021.
At Good Way Farm, we strive to produce seeds, fresh produce, and natural dyes using low-till organic methods with soil health and nutrient density in mind. It is our privilege to make seed and a small number of produce shares available to people at no cost, and to partner with other seed producers like our friends at Truelove Seeds and Iraqi Seed Collective, to grow our community and knowledge in seed work. We seek to practice reciprocity with the communities whose ancestors have given us so many crops we now love, with particular regard to the Fertile Crescent, Africa, and Central and South America. We believe that quality produce and access to the knowledge and materials to grow your own food is not only a human right, but essential to our collective futures. We are honored to share the abundance and resources to boost food sovereignty across Turtle Island.
Amy June (Eastern Shawnee) began farming in 2019, and alongside her partner KT, Good Way Farm has produced seed and produce for distribution to friends, neighbors, mutual aid projects and first time gardeners. Their farms and gardens have spanned community land projects and the edges of farms they have worked on over the years, and relocated to a new home base in Lawrence, Kansas (on Kaw and Osage homelands) in the 2023 season. In 2024, we were supported by the American Farmland Trust’s Brighter Future Fund to grow our tools and infrastructure, and in 2025 we are the grateful recipients of a Sky High Farm grant to produce a free CSA, and our 2026 season is supported by the Native American Food Sovereignty Alliance.
Each season, we anticipate giving away a retail value of about $10,000 of seeds that we are humbled and glad to offer at no cost. In 2025, we piloted a free food box program to formalize our produce distribution with a local grassroots partner, which we look forward to continuing in 2026.
